Building a Dividend Growth Portfolio To Meet Your Unique Needs

Dividend Growth Portfolio

I am on record of often pointing out that it is a market of stocks and not a stock market. The same concept applies to individual investors. It is a market of investors, not an investor’s market. In short, this is a fancy way of saying that just like stocks, not all investors are the same. Each individual investor has their own financial situation, goals, objectives, needs, and risk tolerances. Consequently, there is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to investing strategies.

In this video we are going to focus on how investors can utilize creative strategies that apply to their own financial situation to build portfolios that work for them, specifically a Dividend Growth Portfolio. The primary focus on this video will be on income. Not just current income, but also income that can grow to fight inflation. Additionally, the strategy covered in this video is oriented towards achieving an above-market dividend yield. In short, this would be designed for the investor that needed to generate a lot of income in this still low interest rate environment.

Finally, it is important to recognize that what is being discussed here is creativity. The portfolios presented would contain fewer stocks than most investors would be comfortable with. That was done simply for conciseness. The primary idea here is to apply creative strategies that can be utilized to meet income needs, control risk and accomplish both the need and desire to keep up with inflation over time.
